Nikki Kerkhof was born December 21, 1983 in Sint-Oedenrode, Netherlands and is a singer and the winner of the fourth series of Idols the Dutch variant on Pop Idol. At the first of March 2008 she won the singing contest with 62% of all the votes from the other finalist Nathalie Makoma. Nikki, born of an Australian mother and Canadian father, developed her musical talent further when the family moved to Perth, Australia. Nikki’s talent was noticed and she was asked to audition for a pop group. On her 11-birthday Nikki became a member of the Minipops. But soon her parents and family decide to return to the Netherlands.

On 22 September 2007 Niki performs on Idols and overwhelms the jury with her impressive performance. As a winner of Idols 2008, she performs live around the Netherlands and the high point is a concert in her hometown of Sint Oedenrode, Netherlands.

On 1 March 2008, 3 million television viewers Nikki saw win a most convincing final of Idols. Her first single rises to Number 1 within in the Dutch top 40. She brings out her debut album and tours a year through the Netherlands.

During November 2008, her debut album, NAKED was released and is a big success.
