She goes by her nickname, Slava, which is a short form of the male Russian name Stanislav or the female name Stanislava that means "glory" or "fame". She has gone by this name ever since friends and classmates first started calling her it in elementary school. She was born to the family of a professional driver and a mother who was an economist. As a child, Anastasia was fond of sports, playing volleyball, but as soon as karaoke appeared in the country she immediately became a fan of this fashionable entertainment, devoting all their leisure time to learning the Russian and foreign hits. After trying to work as a psychologist, linguist, tourism manager, working as an administrator in a casino and being an interior designer, Slava realized that she could not live without music. She briefly considered a career in fashion modeling, but was drawn to music.
In the spring of 2002 in a karaoke club where she sang after work, Slava met famous film director Sergei Kalvarskaya, who had filmed video for Alla Pugacheva, Philip Kirkorov, Nikolai Baskov and others, offered to work together with her. The first was a joint creation of the singer and producer - the video for the song 'I Love and Hate' became a hit on country music channels, and even later was nominated in several categories at Russia's main music award MTV RMA in 2004. Thus began the ascent to the musical glory of one of the most promising actresses of Russia's pop scene. Six months after this start Slava had her own band - the dance group 'First', whose members Sergei Nettle, Vlad Aristov, Andrew and Ola Moternak Keyru accompany the singer.
In two years time with hundreds of concerts, performances at festivals, covers of glossy magazines - the debut album "Fellow Traveler" was put out in autumn 2004. This invariably ended up with the first line of popular hits of "Fire and Water' and "Fellow Traveler" included in her first album. Extreme video in the style of a road-movie of the song "Fellow Traveler" shot by director Mikhail Khleborodov, known to cooperate with the groups Bi-2, Masha and the Bears and Mumiy Troll. This Music video exploded - two weeks at the top of the charts rated number one by radio stations and music channels. Mikhail Khleborodov was so interested during the filming of the video that a year later he invited her to take the main female role in his first full-length movie "Section 78" - a sci-fi short story by Ivan Okhlobystin.
Although known for her sultry and smouldering sexuality, particularly in her music videos, she describes herself as a "domosedka" (English: homebody), who prefers staying home in quiet contemplation to partaking of the glittering nightlife of Moscow. She has a daughter, Sasha, who was born in 2001. On May 12th, 2011 Slava on her concert in Blagoveshchensk announced that she pregnant with her second child who be born in the fall of 2011.
